Overclocking gaming computers make then run hotter, which is why liquid cooling is a necessity. However, you have to do your cooling and overclocking in the best possible way. When overclocking GPUs its not the same as CPUs in gaming computers. Overclocking the CPU by a little bit, makes a big difference, whereas a GPU makes very little difference. Best way is to overclock the GPU little by little and run tests each time. When tests start to fail, bump it down a notch.
